I'll post a download of the plane ride and the rest of the trip later this week.  For now, here's a snapshot of the Napa portion...

Jesse's friend, Josh, is partial owner of Honig winery in St. Helena, just outside of Napa.  He invited us to stay with him on the winery for a few days.  We packed an overnight bag and headed out of the city.

The first stop was food at Taylor's Refresher.  It's the only place I know that can get away with charging $10 for a hamburger that you eat outside on a picnic table.  Nate seemed to enjoy both the food and scenery - playing under the tables and disrupting everyone around us by shouting excitedly.

Afterwards, we headed over to Josh's residence.  I've been there before, but I still felt like a celebrity if only for a few days.  The house has appeared in many magazines and articles.  It was an old barn and the architect used all the old wood for walls inside the house.  It's a really rustic feeling.

 

Nate loved the pool and hottub.

I loved that I got a private wine tasting!  I knew we wouldn't be able to enjoy Napa to the full extent given that we had a two year old in tow.  I didn't think people would look too favorably on me if I carted Nate around to the wineries getting sloshed along the way :)
